There are NO WAITING PERIODS for Preventive (Type I) and Basic (Type II) Dental Care! There is a 12 month waiting period for Major (Type III) Dental Care. All benefits begin on your effective date.

*Waiting period for Major (Type III) Dental Care may be waived with proof of prior coverage provided by the member. Proof of prior coverage will only be accepted from the prior carrier within 30 days of effective date on BrightIdea Dental, and showing 12 months of continuous fully insured coverage with no lapse. DHMO, discount, or scheduled plan coverage will not be accepted.

Yes, you are always free to visit the dentist of your choice. The Dentemax Plus Network is a combination of three networks; Dentemax, Careington, and United Concordia. In combining these three networks, it created the largest dental PPO network with over 600,000 access points in the United States. Dental is currently not available in Maine, Minnesota, or Washington.

Yes, if you are traveling or have a covered dependent living in a different state, you will still have coverage unless it is in Maine, Minnesota, or Washington.

Your rates are guaranteed for 12 months following your plan's effective date. After that, you will receive at least 30 days' notice (more if required by state law) if your rates change.

You or your dentist may submit completed claim forms along with any requested information to the address provided on your member ID card. Dentists may submit claims electronically to the contact information provided on your member ID card. You may also contact us directly for assistance.

You can receive a full refund of the premium paid anytime within the first thirty days of your enrollment date, provided that no insurance claims of any kind have been submitted.

You may print temporary ID cards immediately inside your members portal. You may Login right from our homepage. Hard copy ID cards are generally shipped within 2-3 business days after your enrollment has been processed. Actual receipt of your ID cards may vary, as all ID cards are sent via USPS first class mail. Replacement ID cards may be requested by contacting member services at (800) 979-8266.‬

DenteMax's group of quality dentists have agreed to accept a set, discounted fee schedule when they see DenteMax patients. This means that you can visit any of our PPO dentist and save on your dental costs. Going out of network is still covered however, will cause greater out of pocket expenses.

Yes, there is a minimum of 5 enrolled members to do a “List bill” and there is an electronic “Employer” group application. For smaller groups (2-4 enrolled) we can create a master billing account. This requires that the company to provide either an ACH or credit card which the billing for each enrolled member will be deducted every premium cycle.
